In Canada, we celebrate Thanksgiving today October 14. Historically early settlers and migrants found the land bountiful and thanked God for it.
This morning I watched the TV Mass here where it was preached by the celebrant Fr. Dan Donovan. Fr. Donovan emphasized the nature of gift and gratefulness. In that sense we thank God the Father for he created us out of love through his Son Jesus Christ and continues to enrich us through his Holy Spirit.
